Uncompromising Mode houses a lot of new content such as new mechanics, items, mobs, biomes, and bosses. However, it isn't simply just "a harder experience". The mod adds randomness, variety, and challenge to the game's core mechanics, without making the experience annoying and tedious. Uncompromising Mode (often shortened to "Uncomp" or "UM") was created with the goal of revitalizing the difficulty of DST.
